Carl Blume brings over 25 years of experience in product marketing to Atlantic Marketing Advisors. He has held leadership roles at multinational B2B software companies and successful start-ups. He has helped three companies reach highly rewarding acquisitions.
Since founding Atlantic Marketing Advisors in 2017, Blume has helped numerous clients reach their customers with messaging that motivates them to action. He combines an engineer’s understanding of technology with deep insight into buyer behavior. This enables him to bridge the chasm clients often face when translating their technical capabilities into the business solutions their customers seek.
Throughout his career, Blume has been a hands-on executive – creating strategy, developing assets, executing campaigns and measuring the results. He uses proven marketing methods to develop messaging, write content, create presentations produce videos and build websites.
Recruited into Acme Packet in 2010 to drive marketing for its enterprise communications product line, he helped it attain the #1 market share position and contributed to the company’s acquisition by Oracle in 2013. Upon joining HP in 2008, Blume was tapped to develop messaging for the $1B Networking business unit and manage the development of global marketing campaigns, including promotion of the 3Com acquisition in 2009. As director of strategic marketing at Colubris Networks, Blume helped reposition the company in a new category, which ignited rapid revenue growth and a successful acquisition by HP.
Blume is a volunteer mentor to entrepreneurs in the EforAll Roxbury chapter, a nonprofit that accelerates economic and social impact through inclusive entrepreneurship. He is a volunteer coach in the Northeastern University IDEA venture accelerator which fosters the development of entrepreneurs in the Northeastern community.
Carl Blume received an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Northeastern University.
